An independent Yemeni civil society organization; non-governmental and non-profit; specialized in promoting and protecting the fundamental and best rights of children in accordance with national laws and the Convention on the Rights of the Child. It was established on August 5, 2008, under an official license issued by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor.
Seyaj focuses its efforts on poor and extremely poor areas, as well as regions affected by armed conflict and disasters. It provides services to children, especially victims of violence, exploitation, neglect, and abuse, through direct coordination with relevant government institutions, networking with national and international non-governmental organizations, and through a network of trained volunteers across all governorates of the Republic. Seyaj’s male and female volunteers belong to various professional sectors and specialties that have direct influence and connection to children and their rights. The organization is also a member of numerous national and international child protection networks.
